Description

ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR PRAYER BOOKS IN IRELAND – OVER 15,000 COPIES SOLD!

The practice of visiting the Blessed Sacrament has been going on in the Church for hundreds of years. Keeping the Bread of Communion in the tabernacle is a reverent prolonging of the Mass, to give us more time for adoration, thanksgiving, and further prayer.

Nearly three hundred years ago St Alphonsus published his book of Visits to the Blessed Sacrament, which became, and remains, a classic of devotional writing. This book by Fr Richard Tobin CSsR is offered in continuity with the spirit of that great work. It contains 28 visits – reflections and prayers – that draw us ever deeper into the mystery of God and God’s love for humanity. It is a wonderful companion for personal prayer, all who take part in Eucharistic or 40 Hours Devotion and for those who like to make the occasional visit to the Blessed Sacrament.

Beautifully presented in full colour throughout, this is a devotional gem you will treasure for years.

This is a beautifully produced little book that slips easily into a coat pocket or a handbag. The meditations are fresh and in up to date language. It is a great resource for a short daily visit to the blessed sacrament or it could be used as part of a longer prayer time or even as part of a benediction service.

I had the pleasure of using this book for over a year now…and the daily reflections have helped make my visits so much more refreshing and intimate. I would greatly recommend this to anyone seeking to increase his love for and devotion to the Blessed Sacrament.
