(18 Jun 2010)

IONA cover2The Iona Pilgrim’s Manual

John J. Ó Ríordáin is author of several books including A Pilgrim in Celtic Scotland and The Music of What Happens. The Iona Pilgrim's Manual gives the story of Columba and the subsequent fortunes of the monastic foundation, as well as providing information and reflections on the holy places on the Island.

In The Iona Pilgrim’s Manual, Fr Ó Ríordáin aims to provide the reader with a spiritual guide to help them in their journey around Iona.  Pilgrims (and non-pilgrims alike) interested in learning more about the holy places on Iona will find this an invaluable guide.

“A Pligrimage is a journey to a holy place for religious motives, nothing more and nothing less.”
